This summer, a wildfire rescue operation in the mountain city Chongqing, the “reversers” involved in the rescue moved hundreds of millions of Chinese people. On the evening of August 21, after learning that the supplies of rescue workers on the mountain were not guaranteed, Long Jie, who was a takeaway deliveryman and nicknamed “Long Mazi”, immediately signed up to become a volunteer, rode a motorcycle and carried a backpack to the fire, and delivered supplies to the rescue workers, and fought for 36 hours in a row. While waiting for supplies, because of overdrawing, he poured cold water on his head to keep himself awake and said, “I won’t go home if the fire is not extinguished!” He knew that it was dangerous, but he still chose to go against the flow and devoted himself to helping others. This year, a wildfire broke out in Xiema Street, Beibei, Chongqing. After learning the news, I signed up for support as soon as possible, so I unexpectedly became popular. Over the past few months, my life has also changed a little. Some people say I am a fire-fighting hero. What I want to say is: I am not a hero, nor am I willing to do anything. I just followed my heart when I should make a choice.
About the rescue, many media contacted me, and at first I was overwhelmed because I just didBabaylanA common thing. If something similar happens elsewhere and needs reinforcements, I will go there too. What’s more, Chongqing is so close, and it can help. As a Chongqing native, we cannot sit idly by the difficulties of our hometown. Besides, where civilian motorcycles cannot be used, our off-road motorcycles have advantages, so we can get on it.
Recalling the firefighting now, I still find it meaningfulCinema. That night, I heard that there was a fire in Banan District, Chongqing, and immediately I wanted to go, but I didn’t know how to go. The next day, I heard that the place where the fire was Xiema Street, Beibei District, where I needed a motorcycle to deliver supplies. I said I would sign up and then ask the team leader for leave. But I had heatstroke at that time and didn’t go to work much during that period. The team leader said, “You haven’t recovered yet, so you’re going to put out the fire?” But I insisted on going. I asked my friend to contact me, and then I borrowed my backpack everywhere because I gave me supplies, and I couldn’t tie things to my motorcycle, so I could only use my backpack. Later, due to some reasons, six or seven of us decided to go to the rescue spontaneously. At that time, the quality of the backpack was very poor and it was prone to problems, but then it seemed that everyone had a strong heart and had to go.

At the beginning, I carried some bread, glucose, meals, and ran several times, but I quickly lost money. At that time, a few days before the salary was paid, I borrowed 500 yuan, 300 yuan to come on, and 200 yuan to have a meal.
The backpack for transporting supplies is very heavy, and it is difficult to control the direction of the motorcycle with your back and forth. It is dangerous to sway around. I basically didn’t stop and rest for more than 30 hours, and this high-intensity bike ride is very exhausting. Midway through, I lay around for a short while, but couldn’t sleep because I kept thinking about the mountain.
I really didn’t consider the danger at that time. A few days ago, a school invited me to tell me about my experience of putting out the fire, and I told the students about my thoughts and rescue experience, and told them to learn more knowledge and arm themselves. I also joked that “don’t be as uneducated as me.” Looking at these young people, I think of myself, I believe that our post-00s generation is not a defeated generation. This year, I also went to the Gansu Provincial Forest Fire Fighting Team stationed in Chongqing, participated in the shooting of some forest fire prevention propaganda videos, and experienced their daily training. We also popularized forest fire prevention in the live broadcast of the Douyin account of Gansu Forest Firefighting, calling on everyone to jointly protect the green waters and mountains, and tell them that they should not smoke, have picnics, etc. in the jungle. This is my proud and proud place.
After the “favorite”, someone asked me to do live streaming and sell goods.
