How to intervene in rural cultural construction in a form of expression that people like, reawaken people’s love and attention to the countryside, the place of residence of ancestors, so that the increasingly empty villages will be revitalized and revitalized, so that rural development will be sustainable, and realize the activation and value-added rural idle resources, so that the majority of villagers have a real sense of gain in economic benefits and cultural life, thereby empowering rural cultural construction. This is the question we are thinking about.
Recently, we went into the countryside, carried out artistic practice of rural cultural revitalization, planned the report exhibition of works “Writing the Earth, Poetry and the Distant”, and explored the creation and display path of rural cultural revitalization – “art rural construction”.
In this “art rural construction” practice, we pay special attention to the “roots” of rural culture and the local artistic creation style, and hope to awaken villagers’ confidence in their local culture through expressing traditional rural culture. This is a challenge. For us studio students who use traditional calligraphy, painting and printing art, I think this is not only a challenge, but also a nirvana. It is to cultivate our ability to understand, perceive and understand the countryside. Facing the place where our ancestors lived for generations, how can we use the artistic talents we have mastered to create and realize our Cinema vision, so that this fertile land butterfly becomes a beautiful spiritual home, suitable for business and living. The performance art of “Bamboo Seeds in the 5G Era” was sprouted by the author’s association with the “Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest” from a local bamboo forest. At that time, I thought, who is the “Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest” now? Can contemporary times find the representative “Seven Sages”? Even if it is found, what does it mean? Is it necessary? What inspirational significance does the “Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest” have for the present? “There are some things that are so coincidental. At that time, I happened to read an article by Mr. Wu Hongliang on Chinese painting. The title is “Source Bamboo in the 5G Era”. This title comes from a sentence in a poem “Dream in the Flying Words” in Xichuan. Although the three of us talk about “bamboo forest” and “Seven Sages”, the profiles are different and the meanings to express differently. Therefore, our work “Source Bamboo in the 5G Era” has emerged: For the 5G Era, everyone is the “Seven Sages”, but they are different. Everyone has a side of each person. Although things are connected, connected, and connected, how should everyone’s heart be connected?

We express our feelings to the traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting. Through the display of calligraphy, painting and printing art, we carry ancient oriental culture with a new medium. It is also a unique presentation, either behavior, concept, installation, or just an exploration. Through this practice, we believe that if the traditional calligraphy and painting form is reset to the living space where there is no village in Babaylan, is it a bit of a doubt that “whether the skin is left without hair will be attached?”, which may appear inconsistent and affect the appreciation of the artistic quality of the works. How to expand the development site is a very worthy topic in the construction of art rural areas. There is “Topology” in geometry, which talks about spatial transformation in a certain space. For our Babaylan‘s display space, as the position of the work changes, a new display space has emerged, which the author calls it the “expanding topology”. In Yijian Village, using a Komiks works that are exposed to the rural atmosphere is a good way to get close to the masses.
On-local creation, fully “revitalizing” idle spaces and old objects, can be opened as part of rural museums and become a medium for displaying local farming culture, traditional folk customs, and village appearance. Some of the artworks in the “Expanding Land Topology” series can be displayed for a long time, while others can only be short-term due to environmental relations, and they all have their own characteristics. Even in a moment, the auspicious light will also promote people’s love and yearning for a better life. If they can be integrated with culture and tourism, it will surely bring popularity and business opportunities.
